Goal: Basic understanding of Script language syntax and programming logic

Leading architecture firms have already realized that programming is a powerful ally when it comes to solving complex design problems. Working with scripts in Rhino offers you the opportunity to automate repetitive tasks, find optimum solutions and rationalize geometry; in other words:

   12:30 - 13:30 lunch and drinks are included

   13:30 - 17:00 afternoon program

•  teacher: David Rutten from McNeel & Associates, script guru
   and author of the vbSript tutorial and the monkey script editor


•  RhinoCentre provides all hard- and software facilities.

•  cost is 700 euro excl.VAT (excl.BTW) per person

•  capacity is 12 participants to start with, after payment you're
   on the list

•  two students can attend for free if they bring their knowledge to
   their faculty by organizing a workshop themselves

Program:
Introduction to programming in VBScript, treatment of all standard topics: Variables, Interface, Data-Management, Conditionals, Iteration, Recursion etc.


                                                                       More specific:
                                                                       1) Surface evaluation and simple object creation
                                                                       2) Linear Transformations and curve evaluation
                                                                       3) Curve and Surface creation, data management
                                                                       4) Mesh topology and geometry evaluation, colour mathematics
                                                                       5) Advanced surface analysis and parametric object instancing
